On September 21st 2009 I took part in a hair fashion show at the Chequer Mead theatre, directed and put together by Karen and Richard Dandy who own and run a fantastic hair salon in the heart of East Grinstead town centre. The money raised from the evening went to the Malanoma Foundation Charity which is a great cause so I was glad to be part of the whole event.I was asked by Karen to be the make up artist for the event and I was more then delighted to take on the job! However I was a little bit apprehensive as I have never be involved in a fashion show before. I was asked to do a makeover on someone in the crowd behind the scenes while the show was taking place (Karen was also doing her hair back stage!) and I was in charge of putting make up on 25+ models as well! I started at 5pm and didn't stop til the show ended at about half 10. It was a great experience and enjoyable, but also very stressful and hectic!
